All resizing, dimension changes, format conversions, and metadata stripping take place 100% inside your web browser’s memory (client-side) using HTML5 Canvas & WebAssembly APIs.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
Unlike traditional file conversion utilities that upload your sensitive media to remote cloud servers, MyImageResizer operates on a decentralized, purely client-side architecture:
- Your Images: We do not receive, process, or store your photos, passport scans, IDs, or graphic assets. Your files remain exclusively on your device.
- Personal Identity Data: We do not require accounts, logins, email addresses, phone numbers, or passwords.
- Biometric Data: When resizing passport photos or visa documents, facial features are processed entirely on your local CPU/GPU with no external transmission.
2. How Image Processing Works Locally
When you drag and drop or paste an image into MyImageResizer:
- Your browser creates a temporary local object in its sandboxed memory space (
blob:http://...). - All image rendering, interpolation, downscaling, and format encoders (JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, PDF, BMP) execute directly in your browser tab.
- When you close or refresh the tab, the in-memory data is instantly and permanently cleared by your browser.
3. EXIF and Location Metadata Stripping
Digital camera photos frequently embed sensitive EXIF data, including exact GPS coordinates, camera model serial numbers, and timestamps. MyImageResizer includes an automatic EXIF stripping feature that removes this metadata during processing, ensuring your exported images are safe to share publicly.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We do not use advertising tracking cookies. We utilize standard browser localStorage solely to remember your chosen theme preference (Light or Dark theme) between visits. No personal identification data is stored.
5. Third-Party Services and Analytics
To monitor website health and maintain uptime, we may collect aggregated, non-personally identifiable diagnostic metrics (such as page load speeds, browser type, and country of origin). None of this data is linked to your files or personal identity.
6. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
